Indulge in Island Delights: The Best Sweet Eats in Maui

Fruit Ninja - 10/10

No treat feels more Hawaii than getting your açaí bowl served in a pineapple. This place is amazing! Over the last few years, this shop has been popping up all over West Maui, near the beach and oceanfront resorts. Their ice-cold açaí topped with fresh fruit and house-made granola hits the spot any day in Hawaii. Highly recommend checking their instagram to find out where they will be popping up next for a refreshing afternoon treat.

Pro Tip:The line moves a little slow and gets quite long, so be sure to check their schedule and arrive early!

Even better news: they plan to open up a permanent spot in 2025!

With several locations in Maui, Ululani’s is considered the OG of shave ice on the island—and for good reason. They offer an abundance of flavors, all made with pure cane sugar, to suit everyone's taste.

We recommend trying local flavors such as Lychee, Mango, Coconut, Passion Fruit, and Guava. When in doubt, add a snow cap (sweetened condensed milk) or haupia cream. Soft mochi is also a kid favorite and adds a fun touch!

Looking for a refreshing drink to cool off in the heat? Wow Wow is the place for that! They serve a variety of freshly squeezed lemonade flavors that are not too sweet. You can get it frozen or on the rocks. We love anything with local flavors, and the PLG (Passion Fruit-Guava-Lemonade) is a winner for us. What’s even better is that you can pay a little extra for a reusable mason jar and cover to take home.

Pro Tip: Grab additional plastic covers with straw holes—they’ll fit on all wide-mouth mason jars.

Originally from Portugal, malasadas have become a well-loved Hawaiian specialty. If you’re craving them, this is the spot! They offer both filled and unfilled malasadas, with options for sugar coatings like regular sugar, cinnamon sugar, or lihing mui sugar. We opted for one of each unfilled option, and they were absolutely amazing
